Had a stupid amount of downtime during work today, so I was able to get Steam re-set up. Apparently the apt version of Steam is also just the snap so I had to install the flatpak. Setting up permissions was a little bit of a pain but honestly not too bad, the main problem I had was actually just setting the wrong folders to be the external folders (I was trying the steamapp folders, when you have to go one folder up from that). After all of that I can say with some level of confidence that I think the crashing problem in Endfield is fixed now. It's using ntsync and while I think I've had a long enough game session with it to say that it's stable now. Unless the memory leak sneaks up on me I guess, but it's apparently related to the anti-cheat so it's not really a concern on Linux.

I also went back to Terraria, I made extra sure that everything was transferred over properly to one of the external drives (the save data folders aren't kept with the game, so those had to be transferred manually after booting the game up once). Made some incremental progress in the skyblock seed, got some more health and set up fishing but I'm still not close to one of the world edges. Medium world size was probably a mistake, if the Aether isn't on the side I'm expanding towards it's really gonna be a pain in the ass.
